We spent the afternoon relaxing at our hotel's cafe drinking coffee (holy cow my latte macchiato was so good I had two), reading, checking email and waiting out the worst of the storm.
Finally the rain gave way and we headed out for dinner. A traditional meal from a restaurant where there were far too many native English speakers for our liking surprised us indeed. Risotto with breaded fried perch (from the Lake) for me and spaghetti with anchovies and bread crumbs for Nate.
We really enjoyed the pace of the day and our spirits weren't dampened by the storm one bit!

Awesome! How was the spaghetti? How was the pizza? How was the gelato!? I could live off the Gelato and ate nothing else - so yummy. Did you have a favorite shop or sight in Bellagio?
How yummy does that pasta look?! I could eat that right now!! Hope you're having an amazing time. xxx
Enjoy the coffee while you're there, its the best you'll ever have!
So glad you were able to "enjoy" the rain and felt you had the place to yourself for a bit!
The pasta was fantastic! We actually found a gelato place that has two store fronts in NYC. A little odd, but still delicious (yes, we ate it anyway). Apart from some great scarf/silk shops in Bellagio, the salumeria that sold us the cow's cheese was one of the best in town.
